Sharon C. Roberts is a native of Winston Salem, North Carolina. She was educated in the WS/Forsyth County School System and graduated from North Forsyth Senior High School in 1975. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management with a Concentration in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Sociology and Master of Arts in Management with a Specialization in Human Resource Management from Ashford University.
Sharon is currently employed by Forsyth County Government with 17 years of service with the Department of Public Health. Over the years, she has dedicated many countless hours reducing infant mortality with minority women throughout the county. She now works as a Community Fitness & Wellness Coordinator/Adult Health Educator.
Sharon has served on the High Point Education Missionary Baptist Association, Inc. HELPS Ministry for the past seven years as the Health Coordinator under the leadership of former Presidents Sister Vickie Horace and Reverend Jerry Herron. Service to God and others is the one thing in life that Sharon feels she is most purposefully and passionate about.
Sharon is the widow of Mr. James R. Roberts Sr. (Ray). She is the mother of LaMontica, Lee, and Alicia; grandmother of three; and has a large extended family with 7 additional daughters and 1 son. Her two God-daughters, Rolanda and Yalonda, best know her as “Mama Sharon.” They, too, love her for her passion for God and all her words of wisdom.
Sharon is a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church where the Pastor is
Reverend Ronald E. Speas. Service to God is important so Sharon serves on the following ministries: Health Ministry Coordinator, Missionary President and Nurses.
